16/03/2017: Coming soon - The March 20, 2017 full paper submission deadline is fast approaching. Hotel reservation information, registration payment method, accepted abstract list, and more will be announced in a few days.

03/02/2017: Current highlights - The SDIMI 2017 LogIn/Register system has recorded approximately 100 account registrants with abstracts from 17 countries/regions among whom are 80% with the scientific and technological community sector, 10 % with the business and industry sector, and 10 % with other sectors. Ten respected guest speakers from academic, industrial, non-governmental, and governmental institutions have tentatively committed to give plenary presentations. A panel session has been scheduled to address sustainability challenges in the formal and informal mining sectors by the WFEO Mining and Sustainability task force members and invited specialists.
Full paper reviewing has begun by our best available peers as indicated by and selected from our SDIMI 2017 account user database. The cut-off date for full paper submission is March 20, 2017 when the firm deadline is reached and the paper submission and acceptance system will be automatically closed without any extension due to time constraints.

26/01/2017: Reminder to review full papers - We now have received enough early bird full papers ready to be reviewed by peers. Some of those SDIMI 2017 website account registrants who have expressed their Interest in Reviewing Papers as Peer under their account will notice a change of status to True from False in the Assignment of Papers for Peer Review. They will also receive an invitation email to review papers and find the list of papers to be reviewed on the website page/column of As Reviewer under their SDIMI 2017 website account.
We as organizers highly appreciate your expertise and valuable contributions to SDIMI 2017 by helping review papers. Please follow the publisher’s Peer Review Policies and Criteria, Instructions to Authors and the paper template, and use your expertise to complete your Reviewer’s Report(s) online as soon as possible. Further instructions are also given together with your Reviewer’s Report(s).
This peer review process will continue until the full paper submission cut-off date of March 20, 2017 when the firm deadline is reached without any extension.
If there is any problem or question, please contact us at +86 10 62333454 or sdimi2017@ustb.edu.cn.

21/01/2017: Note on registration fee for multiple papers - It has been brought to our attention that some SDIMI authors/groups of authors were submitting multiple papers on different topics/subjects. We appreciate their interest and contributions. To better accommodate such cases, we now refine and clarify registration fee payment by noting that each registration fee payer may be entitled to two or three paper presentations at the conference but at most only one paper inclusion/publication in the electronic proceedings. In other words, if accepted through peer reviews, papers by the same author/group of authors must be paid on a one-to-one basis for multiple inclusions/publications in the proceedings.

17/01/2017: Some news is good news - The new year of 2017 has brought a surge in SDIMI 2017 abstract submissions and by now we have received about 80 abstracts and recorded about a hundred of website account registrations with domestic and overseas participants approximately half and half. We are confident that with all your active participation, SDIMI 2017 will be one of the best of its kind.
As the cut-off date for abstract submission was passing, we are approaching the cut-off date for full paper submission on March 20. Although further abstract submissions may remain honored in a few more days, our focus will be shifted onto full paper processing.
Please be advised that all those authors whose abstracts have been accepted or provisionally accepted keep working hard in writing your full papers, closely following the publisher’s Instructions to Authors and paper template (which can also be downloaded from the Downloads page of this SDIMI 2017 website) to meet the publishing standards in terms of both technical contents and linguistic norms as indicated in the Peer Review Policies and Criteria (which can also be downloaded from the Downloads page) and submitting your full paper online under your SDIMI 2017 account as soon as possible. It is also advised that the cut-off date for full paper submission of March 20 be the firm deadline beyond which we will have no time or allowance to be compromised for any extension.
